It's Saturday...and Adrienne Gautier is getting married today!....
Lift a special prayer for her and her fiance Jonathan -- that Christ may be their guide throughout their married lives.
Today's devotion continued with yesterday's reading: John 4:1-42. There's so much to study and pray about in those verses. I hope that reading them again today brought new insights and more reflective moments in prayer with God.
Father, my prayer today is that you will help me to stay focused on my view of the world and miss what You have set in front of me. May I be attune to your voice a
nd be spiritually ready for service for You throughout this mission trip. May our impact be more than just "spreading joy through songs," but many opportunity to change lives.
YESTERDAY'S SONIC WINNER IS:
AARYN ELLIOT
Yes, she did it again. Yeah!....Congrats Aaryn.
Thank you for taking many times throughout these two weeks and reading your devotion and sharing your comments on the blog. I appreciate all of you who have been sharing on the comment page. It has not only blessed me but many, many others who have been reading your thoughts.
TODAY'S SONIC QUESTION IS:
Share with me a prayer that you have for this mission trip.
Looking forward to worshiping with you tomorrow! Don't forget to bring your devotional for our 4 pm meeting. Be sure to have Stephanie check it. Lastly, we're singing and leading worship on Sunday night. I sent you an email yesterday about our Sunday schedule and what music we're singing. You can also go on planningcenteronline.com and check it yourself. Last reminder: all of our music and scripture verses need to be memorized by our rehearsal tomorrow.
Bless ya,
Ken
Lord, I pray for a committed heart - totally committed to "whatever" you have for this trip! It's hard not to have restrictions on my prayer - like, I will go, but please keep us safe. Or, I will go, but just don't let anybody get hurt. It's hard Lord to say "All. I give my all. No matter what!" May you create in me a willingness to do your work in all things - everyday - and may I be a light to a world that needs you so bad and they don't even realize it! Give each person on this trip the strength to be committed to this mission. I pray that you will already be preparing the hearts of all those that we will come in contact with - from the security guards at the airport, to the child sitting in the classroom, to the senior adult attending the church service - we realize that they need to see your light shining through us both in our actions and in our words! Help me remember that I am ministering with each step I take and every word I say! Amen
I pray that I can go all out for God on this mission trip! I don't want to hold back any of the joy that God has given to me.. there's no point! He created this whole universe and all the wonders in it so I should be able to go out and tell people of His wonderful name. I also pray that I would look at not only our trips, but everywhere I am at any given moment as a mission field for Christ. I don't think it's fair of me to hold back at home until a trip and then go on a power trip, so I want to be better at living for Christ whether I am on a "mission trip" or not.
hmm.. that was Anna, btw. I don't have an official blog thing yet and I don't know what I'm doing.
I pray for an amazing God experience. I know that He will be there in Scotland with us for where two or more are gathered in His name, there He will be as well. And because He will be with us, I know great things will happen. I also pray that my brother doesn't go to the hospital. FYI: he has a tendency to visit hospitals in other countries haha.

I just pray that God's work gets done over there and nothing holds us back from doing His plan for our trip...and also I just pray that we can all keep positive attitudes :)

I pray for obediance and then wisdom to confidently walk in God's faith, therefore having peace as we go about our daily choices. Also that walls will be knocked down not only to comfortaby speak our hearts to the people we encounter, but within our team be able to be completely be at ease and real with each other to better encourage and bolster one another up as the trip approaches and while we are there!
Even carrying on after this trip and into our homes and schools!!!
I pray that God will work through us and our voices to do something amazing. I pray that we have fun but know that the trip is about God not us, and that no one will get sick.

I'm so proud and excited for all of you going on this trip!!! What an amazing opportunity to share God's love! I envy you getting this chance at such a young age. I will be praying for each of you while you are there and as you get ready to go! God is already using ya'll in your own church. It's an encouragment to all of us "adults" to see the youth so dedicated to God!
