Mission Scotland 09 Blog

412 Praise, a student choir from First Baptist Church Bentonville, Arkansas, has been asked to reach out to the students in Glasgow, Scotland. The young people in Scotland are eager to meet students from the US which gives our students daily opportunities to share their faith in Christ to young people who want to hear what they have to say. This blog will lead up to and follow our trip to Glasgow March 19-28, 2009

No doubt!...

It's Sunday and time to Worship Together!....

Are you ready to sing for the Lord tonight?
We're leading worship and I can't wait till you lead others
to God's throne through Word and Song!

Less than three weeks before we're heading over seas!  I'm truly excited and humbled that God is giving each of us the chance to share His love and salvation with other students and adults in Scotland.  I pray that God makes the ordinary extraordinary -- like our devotion shared today!

Help me Lord -- help all of us Father -- step out in faith, knowing tests will come, and share what you have done in our hearts.  We surrender to Your will for this trip.  Help us take every opportunity to share the Gospel everywhere we go.  Help to make it habit forming that upon our return home we will daily share You with others as you open the doors.  Help us pass the test and give you all the glory!

YESTERDAY'S SONIC WINNER IS:

CARA COX

Congratulations Cara!  Thanks for taking time to respond to the questions each day.  I appreciate all who have shared on the blog.  Your thoughts have inspired many!

TODAY'S SONIC QUESTION:

Have you seen God work in extraordinary ways?
Tell me about it.

Desiring the extraordinary,
Ken

I have seen God work through each and one of us in youth choir and no matter how bad or how many times we mess up the older membership still encourage us and I think that is extraordinary that we our always loved by those around us :)

I've seen God work in so many ways in my life and the lives of those around me. Everything God does is extraordinary. He makes the sun rise and set, He made this beautiful earth, and He continues to create extraordinary things each day. Each day is a chance to see an extraordinary work in God's creations, and each person has the ability to work in and through God's extra-ordinary ways.

God has placed a special plan in the lives of every single person he has ever created. And each one is different and extraordinary! Every time I wake up to a new day, God has a beautiful, perfect, and blessed plan waiting!
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm4:8

    Hey,
Definetly in my life. I CAN walk and that is a miracle in itself. God has worked many extrodinary and miraculas things in my life already and I can't wait to see what he has coming up for me.

God does work in extraordinary ways! In miraculous ways! In great BIG wonderful ways! Sometimes we don't see how God is "working everything to His good" but when we take time to step back and see His hand in our lives, we just say, "WOW!" God is working - every moment of every day! I think about the little things in life when God shows His love...a phone call from a friend at just the right moment...a special note received just when I needed it...money that shows up unexpectantly just when we wonder how we will pay a bill...so many underserved, yet "extraordinary" ways God shows His love!

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
