Mission Scotland 09 Blog

412 Praise, a student choir from First Baptist Church Bentonville, Arkansas, has been asked to reach out to the students in Glasgow, Scotland. The young people in Scotland are eager to meet students from the US which gives our students daily opportunities to share their faith in Christ to young people who want to hear what they have to say. This blog will lead up to and follow our trip to Glasgow March 19-28, 2009

We Made It!

Just a very quick note, we did make it to Glasgow safely and with very little delay!  Praise The Lord!  We are quickly going to dinner (It's 6:00pm here) and will fill you all in on what went on today a little later on.  Thanks for all your prayers!

So glad you all made it safely! Whew! Flying over that ocean makes me a little nervous...We have been praying continuously for you all. At this moment it is 9:50 Scotland time, making it 3:50 in the afternoon here. Funny if you ask me!
Please tell Natalie hello from her family!

Wow! I can hardly believe that my son is so far away and I am okay. My heart had a peace about this trip from the beginning I just couldn't get my mind to listen. (Just ask Brother Ken) I hope that everyone gets a good night's rest so they can start planting seeds on their mission field. Sing Well and Give God All The Glory!!!

Wonderful to hear that all went well on their trip over-seas. For the parents, yes we too can now rest well knowing they have arrived. I never doubt Gods word but I will confess that I did get up at 3:00 this morning and went to the British Airways site to verify the plane had landed. Then again at 6:30 to verify the plane landed in Glasgow okay.
I do understand that some of the callings cards are not working today and hopefully will get that resolved tomorrow. Ali did call quickly around 4:30 our time and they all seem to be very tired. (jetlag I am sure) A good nights sleep will do wonders. I pray for the JOY (JESUS OVER YOU) of the Lord to be upon them for a great day tommorrow for sight-seeing and visiting the castle. My prayer for their Sunday service worship comes from Colossians Chapter 3 vs. 16 and 17--Let the word of Christ dwell in them richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns, singing with grace in their hearts to the LORD. And whatever done in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Thank you Lord again for the wonderful opportunity these teens have to reach people with your word. Give them the strength and zeal they need to spread the gospel to the people of Glasgow. Amen.

    Hey Everyone:

WOW! What a great day you had Saturday! I've never seen such great dancing Baptists! (Oh - maybe I shouldn't say that - are we allowed to put those words together in the same sentence?).
Seriously, the pictures are wonderful and I'm so glad you all are having such a special time. I couldn't figure out the video tonight, cause it needed some kind of log-on stuff, but I'm sure it was great too!
Anyway, have a GREAT and worshipful Sunday. We pray for you all continuously! Natalie - Your hair looks good, even though it's curly!

hi yall, hutch and I have been missing our kids...you, and decided to give you all a shout out. did hutch mention that we had 10 kids total in early sunday school on sunday!!! hutch was giving away boxes of donuts, needless to say we ate a whole lot of those things because you weren't there to help out! we wish we could experience scotland with you, i am sure it has been amazing in so many ways. i love that mr. wills is there, and fitting in with his fello scottsman. don't you guys just love him, he is so funny. he and heather watched korbyn and kash for us the other night, and i am not sure the babies understood a thing he said, nor did he understand them, so it worked out perfectly! korbyn loved him right away, and kept putting him night night! we can't wait to hear all about your trip when you get home. we are so proud of you, and your the way you are using your beautiful voices to share God's love. oh...just to keep you up to date, hutchie shaved his head! he looks like he's about to check into the army, but you know i love him no matter what his hair looks like, and don't tell him i said this, but i think he will loose it in the near future, so it gives me a good idea of things to come!!! bahahahahahahahaha!!! okay, we miss you and love each of you! maegan, hutch, korbyn and kash
